  • he can't remember the faces of his parents and only vaguely recalls their features. since he entirely blocked out the memory, he doesn't show many signs of ptsd, but he was legitimately triggered by the thought that his stories can come true. thanks to Ahiru he gets better.
    • yes, he does have some middle eastern ancestry! probably not from Drosselmeyer's side of the family though.
  • back when he was tiny he and Kraehe actually got into a lot of shenanigans over Mytho. it was like a rom-com love triangle, but with bratty 8-year-olds and a lineface prince.
    • she was annoying but he only started to really hate her after the Mytho-bird incident, when his obsessiveness flared up.
    • despite that, he couldn't recognize Kraehe from Rue until her reveal... look, nobody did, okay.
  • he was in love with Mytho for years, but realized it would never work as he grew to be a teenager and Mytho remained ageless.
    • they danced a pas de deux once, but that's all.
  • his horse's name is Betsy. Raetsel named her. they had shenanigans too.
  • secretly he'd hoped Ahiru's love letter was real even though it obviously obviously wasn't.
  • even if he hadn't held back against Mytho, he still wouldn't be able to defeat him in a swordfight if he tried.
  • he doesn't write her back into a human, even accidentally. though he misses her as a girl, they're still friends. he's happy with that.
    • Ahiru lives to be 100 years old damn it!!
    • since Ahiru can't really do it anymore, he feeds the flock of bird friends she had at school.
  • eventually he learns how to write stories without having them come true. he publishes some novels and is super awkward with fans.
    • though he keeps practicing ballet, he doesn't dance pas de deux anymore.
  • he never sees Rue or Mytho or Uzura again, but he never stops missing them. his biggest regret is never properly apologizing to Mytho.
