[She immediately springs back a few steps, flushing a deep shade of red as she looks at the floor.]

[ he's just about to say the same and relax a little into the hug when he feels her tense up and then jump back like he shocked her or something. WELL... maybe he kinda did. whoops. just going to stare at her now, feeling his face redden and trying to come up with something not-awkward to say. ]

[ JUST ABOUT. ]

[motioned]

[And she smiles, a little more relaxed though still blushing, and reaches for one of his hands.]

[ he takes it, squeezes it, tries to resist hugging her again. for now. ]

I missed you. You're fine now, right?

[motioned]

I'm fine. It just ended all of a sudden, the same way it started. It must have been something the Core did.

Again?... I wonder why I'm still surprised.

It won't happen again, will it.

[motioned]

There's no way to know whether or not it will... This place isn't really, um, predictable.

If it did, though, I think it would end pretty quick, like it did this time.

... I was just surprised. If I'm bothered by anything, it's the Core and how damn unpredictable it is, not you.

[She returns the embrace, wrapping her arms around him, her smile hidden in his shoulder.]
